Hello, faggots, today I’ll be talking about HOW YOU ANIMATE, like techniques such as double framing for example.

First of all, DOUBLE FRAMING IS NOT A STYLE.
I get so annoyed by people constantly using double framing on every single frame as an excuse for bad animation and calling it their ’style’. I’ve taken a lot of these that are supposedly intermediate animations and removed the DF (double framing) and then it’s like low beginner quality.

People use double framing to hide their poor animating skills. And their excuse is that it’s their style.

BUT, EVERY animation technique looks good if you do it RIGHT.
Take Stimpy for example, he uses A LOT of double framing but he can still get away with it. He’s doing it ‘right’.
I’m not saying that there’s a specific right and wrong way to do it, what I meant was that there are ways to use it that looks good or bad. Lol, Fraz.

Experiment for yourself. : D

In my opinion, the number one rule of animating would be to not care about the norms of animating and just friggen’ animate. Have fun, who cares about what other people think?

Personally, I hate using backgrounds as they are too much work for me and they don’t give me enough satisfaction to be worth it. What I do like, is animating on simple backgrounds and enjoy my uber awesome movements.

In my opinion, movements are what makes an animation look good, and that’s why wereZ is one of my favorite animators. That does NOT have to be your opinion, you do what you think looks good.
